WATER POLLUTION
Water, a vital element of our environment is being polluted in different ways. Firstly, men pollutes water by throwing waste įnto it. Secondly, farmers use chemical fertilizers and insecticides in their fields. When rain water and floods wash away some of these chemicals, they get mixed with water in rivers, canals and ponds and pollute water.
Moreover, mills and factories also throw their poisonous chemicals and waste products into rivers and canals and thus pollute water vehicles also pollute rivers by dumping oil, food waste and human waste into them. Insanitary latrines and unsafe drains standing on rivers and canal banks are also responsible for farther water pollution. It is true that complete prevention of water pollution is impossible but certainly we can minimize the extent of pollution. Have to create awareness among the people. We can refrain from throwing wastes into the river or canal water. We can refrain from building insanitary latrines on river and canal banks. Thus we have to minimize water pollution.
